Teams and Individual Picture Days – How to Make it Great!
We understand how precious your, the coaches and parents’ time is and we appreciate your help. We feel being prepared is the easiest and most efficient way to get this done to have a pleasant experience. If all following can be done, you can feel confident everything will run on time and very smoothly.
We ask for your help in the following -
We require a list of the teams to be photographed, with an approximate headcount (we understand it may not be exact) as well as the team sport groups if they need to be split into several groups. Example: instead of “Basketball” we would need to know – Basketball Varsity, Basketball JV, Basketball Team A… etc. Each of these teams would be photographed separately.
Please assign a wrangler or “in charge” person for the Pictures that we can communicate with in case we have questions or need help with the following:
Please communicate to coaches, designated individual or volunteer the timing we have set out for each team to arrive and be photographed. On average we schedule 10 minutes per team, unless the team is over 30 individuals.
Please make sure the area we have been given to photograph in has been reserved for us and we are not going to be a burden to coaches or other groups that normally use the area. Normally, it will take us 90 minutes to setup before we are ready for the 1st individual & team.
Please have the coaches, designated individual or volunteer help keep the area quiet and respectful. We are busy taking photos and can’t watch or control any groups we are not photographing. If the students we are working with can’t hear us or are distracted by other students, things move very slowly.
For each team with very little exception, we must photograph the individuals 1st and the groups 2nd (this helps keep our production time to a minimum).
Please have the coaches, designated individual or volunteer be ready to help line the teams up by height before we start photographing that team - tallest to shortest. We will photograph the tallest 1st and then send them from being photographed individually to be lined up for the group.
When lining up by height please have the coaches, designated individual or volunteer make sure that the uniform is to school requirements (shirts tucked in, socks up or down, correct color uniform).
Please have multiple items of gear (in nice condition) available for the photographers. Multiple balls, helmets,
pom poms, etc. are very useful.
Helpful Tips
Keep at least one extra unifor
Having the teams in a separate holding place separate from the area we are photographing in (if possible) is always the best method.
If a player is late -
See if the team after the one scheduled can swap places without slowing down the timeline. If the two teams are unable to switch without holding up the time, we will need to proceed without the player. Most schools have given us the go ahead to proceed without the student.
Please let us know if there is anything we can do in advance to help. We will be happy to contact coaches or chat with volunteers beforehand if needed.
We Look Forward to an Amazing Teams & Individual Picture Day!
